Aikarthya Foundation
Terms and conditions
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms apply to www.aikarthya.org.in, run by Aikarthya Foundation, a Section 8 not-for-profit company registered in India (CIN U88900TS2025NPL198730), with its registered office at #9-4-131/1/B/99, Nadeem Colony, Tolichowki, Hyderabad, Telangana 500008. By using the site or making a contribution, you agree to them.
Contributions
- Contributions are voluntary donations to support our work with teachers and schools. They are not purchases: nothing is sold to you.
- You choose how to give: once, or as a regular contribution every month, every 3 months, every 6 months or every year.
- Amounts are in Indian rupees. The amount, how often it is taken and the date of the next payment are shown before you pay.
- For now we accept contributions only from Indian citizens, from their own Indian funds. We are not registered under FCRA, so we cannot accept foreign contributions.
Regular contributions and auto-debit
- A regular contribution is set up as an auto-debit (a mandate) that you approve in your bank, card or UPI app through Razorpay. The first payment is taken when you approve it.
- Later payments are taken on the same date in each cycle, for up to 10 years (120 monthly, 40 three-monthly, 20 six-monthly or 10 yearly payments), unless you stop earlier. The mandate allows only the amount you chose.
- Your bank, card provider or UPI app tells you at least 24 hours before each debit, with the amount and date. You can pause or cancel the mandate from that notice or at any time in your app.
- Debits up to ₹15,000 go through without further action. For larger amounts, your bank or UPI app may ask you to approve each debit; a bank mandate (eMandate) suits these amounts best.
- If a debit fails, Razorpay may try again as your bank allows. We never add a charge for a failed or missed payment.
- How to stop a regular contribution, and when we refund, is set out in our refund and cancellation policy.
One-time contributions
- A one-time contribution is paid once, today, by any method Razorpay offers. No mandate is set up and nothing more is taken later.
Payments
- Payments are processed by Razorpay, using the methods Razorpay offers (UPI, cards, net banking and others). We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank password.
- A contribution counts as made only once Razorpay confirms the payment to us. An open payment window or a submitted form is not proof of payment.
What you receive
- A receipt by email once each payment is confirmed.
- Some regular contributions come with a newsletter or a birthday card made by children. These are thank-yous, not goods: they are sent by email or post, may change, and are not a condition of your contribution. Nothing else is shipped.
Tax
- Aikarthya Foundation is registered under Section 12A (12AB) and holds provisional 80G approval for assessment years 2026-27 to 2028-29. A tax certificate needs your PAN and your name as on it, which we ask for on your donor profile after payment. Please check with your tax adviser how this applies to you.
